Welcome to my home page. I am a physical scientist who works at the interfaces between engineering, physics and mathematics to solve fundamental and applied problems in fluid dynamics. My research sits broadly under two headings: (i) fluid-structure interaction in engineering flow devices, and (ii) fundamental nonlinear mechanisms in fluid flows. Sometimes insights that are gained from (ii) can be applied to (i) to gain a deeper understanding of fluid flows that are of practical importance.
